Introduction

Medical Laboratory Technician is a dynamic profession that studies modern scientific principles and procedures applied in diagnostic and medical research laboratories. It is designed to expose students to course areas such as  clinical chemistry (Chemical Pathology), Hematology and blood transfusion science, Histopathology, medical microbiology, Immunology, parasitology, laboratory management and entrepreneurship skills. The students are trained to fit into medical laboratories and other allied fields, well equipped with fundamental scientific knowledge base that can enable them handle primary health care laboratories and upgrade themselves to the scientist  cadre if they so desire in universities
